France is set to end its evacuations from Kabul airport from Thursday after the US refused to extend a deadline of 31 August to withdraws its troops from Afghanistan.

The French Minister for European Affairs, Clément Beaune, warned on Wednesday that it was "very probable" that the French operations would end the following day.

i bet the taliban are bricking it in case ISIS-K attack the airport and america reverse their decision to leave. All it would take is 1 rocket at a departing plane

Ehhhh.

That sort of thing should be an "all or nothing" approach. Those countries' "governments" are frankly no better for the civilians than the Taliban tbh, so if western countries want to intervene at all, it should be to completely take over and implement western laws. A military intervention which still allows terrorist groups to flourish and awful regimes to treat their people like crap achieves nothing, especially when a crappy president just pulls the rug out with no real planning.
