I agree, it could have been dealt with better but he wanted to leave and it was either cash on him now or risk keeping him for one more year and lose him on a free.

RVP was hungry for success, but he obviously disagreed with Arsenal's current structure that fourth place is the main aim etc.

Arsene Wenger has lost the plot. It makes me glad that United have SAF, he would never let his team get like that and when the time comes for him to retire i'll be gutted.

Difference between them two is one has the desire still for success etc and is prepared to move with the times, the other is stubborn has an aim of getting the ''fourth place trophy'' every season and is not moving with the times.

For Arsenal to be so many years without a trophy is unnaceptable!
