They found them on a WhatsApp group on his phone so I reckon he's had another device with more (like I said, long gone sitting at the bottom of the Thames. Or literally burned.) but he's forgotten to make sure his messaging apps were clear. Probably deleted things not realising they could be recovered.

It’s worrying that if someone sends you a picture and you open it without even knowing its contents you are then guilty

Yes they had been exchanging pictures legal pictures obviously porn but legal
All the pictures and two moving images came from the man he was talking to.

It reads that he made the images but he is guilty because he opened the images

No other images were found on any of his other devices

Yes he liked just legal however the underage ones were sent on separate occasions so he must have known what they were

Surely after opening the first one you would ask the guy to stop he has a particular liking for teenage boys obviously
