Battle Royale has more going for it really, the story has multiple meanings and themes and it's a film that must be watched multiple times to absorb it all. I do love THG but it's story is simplistic in comparison. THG makes for easier viewing but Battle Royale is so much more challenging and has more of a lasting effect.

I liked the post spreading that The Hunger Games is "Battle Royale with Cheese".

I loved both films but BR edges it for me.

There there it's not as if I'm saying it's an awful film, I liked it. In actual fact the way all the kids get put into the game is more realistic than in HG
