The locals shouldn't care that they have been out searching, fruitless or not, as no-one knew at that time what had happened to her, and so no search is in vain, it is worth the effort no matter what. I would spend my every waking hour helping in a search.

I shouldn't really pass judgement on him I suppose until all the facts come to light, but his interview did not look at all sincere.

How did they not find/smell a dead body in the house if they've already searched it twice? And how has he managed to get away today? |
