I don't love this song, but I'm still glad Katy is able to reach the top 5 in the charts this era with singles, and have longetivity for staying in the top 5 for multiple weeks. Not all previous big artists can do that these days, many have to decrease the price of the single for the duration of their whole era in order to scrape the backend of the charts

Thats the exact argument people used against Gaga, that her fans were dragging Katy Perry for not reaching #1, but just making the top 5, when....

Seems the argument works fine in your favour but not when against Gaga

Who knows really, probably before I was around.

Although from this era, or recently, I first saw things in the Katy Perry 'Chained to the Rhythm' thread where the Katy v GaGa thing had started and Katy had become 'chained to the bottom of the charts' etc and that she was 'flopping'. It was bound to therefore continue into GaGa's thread after the poor performance, and it seems to just follow both of them now.

So anyway

This is kind of a bop now, the verse just needs re-done and Migos needs to go full stop. CTTR is far better. I'm a big Katy fan but i'm not expecting her next album to be amazing like Teenage Dream but it might be on par with Prism (which is still a good album)

Meh single. Glad she is still able to chart with this though, not many artists would be able to now if they had released something similar.

Her pop singles are able to stay in the top 5 for multiple weeks this era which is good though, so her career is still going okay and is not freefalling which is good.
