Have to say I agree with Hayden though, I was annoyed last night when they didn't show any of the heptathlon but prioritised cycling heats over it - they could have easily switched between the two

On the BBC Steve Cram and Brendan Foster are really complaining about the organisation of the womens' marathon. eg. the line they follow is wrong.

The heptathlon didn't restart until 00:00, the cycling finished at 10:30

Yeah the coverage of the Heptathlon was surprisingly poor considering it's probably the best/closest/most competitive event in Athletics this year

They showed the long jump on BBC4, and then recapped it when they cut to the stadium on BBC1 after the rowing medal ceremonies had finished
