Pleaing and being found guilty are completely different. If you plea guilty then it's a completely different process than if you plea not guilty.

Its not often you are right but you are wrong again, if for example you did murder someone you will receive a lesser sentence if you plead guilty as opposed to go through a full trial for it, even if the sentence is life the judge will note you plead guilty in his recommendations, and he will make a determination how long you are to serve before you are eligible for parole.

Erm... no. If you plead not guilty and go on trial then you are found guilty by a Jury. If you plead guilty there is no Jury therefore you are simply sentenced. Maybe it's not quite as simply as being sentenced but you get the point.
