Milner and J Cole have guile, they'lldo the unexpected and create goals.

Thats true but their country has a very stand out world class keeper.

We have some good keepers, and joe hart is probably the best of the lot all round, being young shouldnt make him a worse choice.

Watching him in the under 21 squad last year he was quality, i know its a different comp but there is still pressure.

After that game I think that Group E will be:

1. Holland
2. Japan
3. Denmark
4. Cameroon.

I really think Japan stand a chance this year, they aint all that bad!

Thats a hard group, for me the only definate is holland as they are class apart.

Denmark are surprising though, they smashed sweden and portugal in the qualifiers.

Yeah Holland are definetly the best. Denmark are good, but you got to put into account that Sweden aren't half as good as they used to be. Their good players are getting old, and they don't really have any great new-comers.

There is a case for playing Crouch as an out-and-out striker on his own, with Rooney as an attacking midfielder, cos Rooney'slong-range shooting is very good, and he does defend too.

He's got surprising good feet, and all he's got to do is get his head to the ball for the others to follow up.

If England played to their strenght, it may no be very pretty, bt it would be effective.

England might have been better appointing Trap instead of Capello, as that's how he's structured the very more limited Ireland, and we were an inch of getting thru in a group that included Italy and France.

I cant remember for england but watching crouch play for spurs was painful the amount of times he loses it because he gets his legs tangled and his touch is poor..

His heading isnt even very good he needs like 4 clear attemps usually.

Croatia is the best team hes ever scored against internationally.

He scored most of his goals against really really average teams ( he would be good playing solvenia and albania) sure to score.

We play him against holland.. spain.. brazil.. germany even italy he wouldnt score i dont think.

He'sonly got to get among the opposition and help win second phase possesion. Look at this goal by Hougton against Italy:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXauYVy_dws

All about second phase possession.

The Charlton way:

Put 'em under pressure when they have the ball, and when you have it by-pass the midfield hoofing the ball up to your trget man. Hussle for the ball, looking for second phase possession either off your man or theirs.

Not pretty, but effective.

The "English game" is all about work-rate. This is how Ireland play since the Charlton era. England just don't work their socks off.

I think against the top teams trying to play it on the gras through the middle will be inviting the opposition on to you.

Carragher would be far down the list hes still quality but a rb?

Wingers would be pacing him easy.

It isn't all about pace, and a quick mind is half the battle.

I can't offhand think of too many teams in the WC who use out and out wingers either.

2-1 and you win with two own goals? Wow, this World Cup could be magical stuff.
