Your doing that now.
Your making them come across as not very nice..
Did you not say that you do not base your opinions on one person?
Yes. And luckily im not stupid enough to actually judge EVERY person, cos they are different.

I don't think there's much need to get personal, Ash is a genuinely nice person who's voicing her opinion, just like you are. There is no right or wrong in someone's opinion.

It's ok, I'm glad you can at least see what I'm - and what Jakey's - trying to say, rather than having a load of people jump on me!

I never said 'I think Australians are nasty'
I said your coming across as Nasty, and meant (but didnt say) others might feel that way.
But I dont judge based on one person.
Its my fault for not explaining myself

Jake:

Would you prefer people to think that Aussies are a nation of passionate and friendly environmentalists, whose only crime is to say 'Crikey' a lot?

Or would you rather that people thought Aussies were unfeelings sods, who enjoyed the fact that someone had died?

In that case, you are being personal.
Which is really unfair considering I've been nothing but respectful and nice towards you.

Yeah, I don't think Ash has said anything really rude or disrespectful towards you, Chrizzle - she has tried to just end the argument and be quite respectful towards the death of Irwin. It just didn't effect her - same with me really.

But I like that I'm liked lol

No you didnt.
The question wasnt 'would you say crikey'
The question was which stereotypes would you prefer

... and I answered by saying I'd rather chew on glass than say it. Meaning, if you actually thought for once, that I would rather have the second option

Lol not that I was entirely blameless ... I love a good argument

KK well it's sad that Steve Irwin is dead ... even though I never knew him and he never effected my life in any way. I feel bad for his family but more sorry for the people in Africa. I know that sounds really harsh - and blunt - and stuff, but I'm just not really that "full of remorse" or whatever. Ahh this sounds so bad! Although that's pretty much my opinion.

Well he was a multi-millionaire so I guess it's not harsh to feel bad for the people in Africa

It makes me mad the way he gets all this attention and so many people saying how sad it is when as people have said, people die everyday who have a family. The only difference being, Steve Irwin does this job knowing the risks, knowing he could die and puts himself in danger so i've no sympathy for him in the slightest. If he's willing to put himself in danger then i couldn't care less really. Now when someone dies of cancer or something like that, then i will have sympathy for them.

I have sympathy for his family obviously but he had young kids and he still went out doing a life threatening job? Well that just proves that he's a really selfish man and he has brought his death on himself. No sympathy for the man, i feel sorry for his kids for having such a selfish dad who's willing to risk is life for a stupid t.v programme when he has younger kids.

Don't rest in piece Steve Irwin, because i'm sure your family won't be in peace for a long time, selfish fool.
