There is no clean cut end goal here, the fighting will continue until everyone is dead or enough people have died on one side that another side "wins" and gains control of the region until the next uprising. The West shouldn't be getting involved, but of course we will because that's what we do. The mix of different religions and the stupid land borders that don't reflect reality and the meddling from outside influences have created this volatile cocktail and it's not going to go away if the West barges in and tries to placate each side; part of the problem is the West trying to tell everyone what to do is seriously offensive to most concerned parties. I think a major shake up of land divisions will unfold over the coming months and years and I think it'll only continue to escalate.

I'm not happy with David Cameron being my leader but that's the one I have. I'd be more offended if the USA or France or Germany waded in and got rid of him and installed some new leader of their choosing in his place.

well you're british, you have too much pride for your own good. Americans were happy to let France help us defeat our leader king george in our revolutionary war though. and most Germans are happy that America helped defeat Hitler and let them get a new leader.

Apparently not only is the enemy of my enemy my friend but also the enemy of my friend is also my friend.

Seems the US can be friends with anybody depending on which way the wind is blowing.

[Islamic State: Arab leaders reluctant
to heed US call for 'allies against Isis'

Saudi Arabia, UAE and Jordan know dangers
of Isis but tribal ties and fears of
boosting Syria's Assad are prompting caution]

Next week MPs will Debate
and Vote on
if we join America to Air Bomb in Iraq.

I hope the UK Mps Vote stop this USA wish.

If the west doesn't get involved, then IS could spread unchecked. If we do, we're in it for the long haul. Considering the Conservatives have cut our armed forces to the bone it would be at best ill-advised for the UK to commit to another war with two thirds of the army we had five years ago. IS aren't just slaughtering other faiths, they're slaughtering Muslims too. It needs other Islamic countries to step up to the plate on this one.

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/are-you-t...tch-with-imam/

Video of 10mins shouting match
on above link

[Sean Hannity got into an epic shouting
match Wednesday night
with a London-based imam who believes
in the worldwide implementation of Sharia law.
Hannity repeatedly grilled Anjem Choudary
over whether he believes in a “convert or die”
philosophy. Choudary kept turning the targuing tables
and when Americans bomb and murder and torture,
“obviously this would have repercussions.”]

The only way to Destroy Isis
is to attack them in Syria first.

Which means they must make a agreement with
Assad of Syria
for this mission.

But the USA President
will not even use the word "War"
he is out of office soon
he should move out now

That will never happen IMO.

Quote:
Syria’s star as an oil producer has been declining for years. Its oil production peaked in 1990s at about 600,000 barrels of oil per day and fell steadily to less than 400,000 barrels per day by 2011. At that point, it was the world’s 34th largest producer, just behind Vietnam, according to CIA data.
Since the escalation of the Syrian conflict in 2011, production has dropped to about 50,000 barrels per day, with exports dropping to virtually zero from about 150,000 barrels per day before the conflict escalated. Many of the country’s biggest oil-producing sites are in the east, and appear to lie outside Damascus’s control.
The U.S. hasn’t imported any oil from the country since September 2011, when it purchased a modest 641,000 barrels of Syrian oil, just 0.19 percent of the 338 million barrels imported that month, according to data from the Energy Information Administration.
And

http://www.vox.com/2014/8/11/5991173...-are-6-reasons

Quote:
Obama ordered air strikes against ISIS in Iraq focused on the narrow goal of defending Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region. Kurdistan had been mostly secure until ISIS began pushing into the territory about a week ago; it's got a stable, pro-American, oil-producing government. Obama's strikes are meant to help Kurdistan defend itself, and to preserve the status quo of a secure Kurdistan. The strikes are very clearly not about trying to change the larger ISIS war in Iraq, or to help Iraq retake the vast ISIS-held swathes of territory.
ISIS so far are no threat to the oil rich and US invested south only Kurdistan. Plus protecting the Mosul dam. That's all it's about so far and always has been the West's main interest over the last few decades. Either taking oilfields or protecting the status quo. ISIS have minor oilfields in Syria and Iraq which don't interest the US

Despite the nations backing America
only America is going to do the attacks
so far.

for example
No one can tell Saudi Arabia
what to do.
