It was always happening. Just a shame we hadn't bought someone in to prepare for it. Now we are going to rush to find a GK. it puts a dampener on our Window, which had been brilliant tbh. Pedro isn't as good as Di Maria, but I think he will settle better and he seems to be more of a "fighter" should he initially struggle.

I really wouldn't go as far as brilliant. Our defence is still pathetic. Jones and Blind as a partnership is downright ridiculous. Spent a fortune and we're still not good enough. And now our only world class attacker has departed.

Edit: Benzema to Arsenal looks a real possibility, his agent hasn't ruled it out. Jake Humphrey tweeted: 'A source who is rarely wrong tells me Arsenal are close to the signing that would make them genuine contenders. We shall see...'. You'd assume he means Benzema. And this guy, https://twitter.com/EmaGiulianelli, who seemingly began it all maintains his position on it. He says Benzema will arrive in London on Sunday.

Would be a fantastic signing.
