Many reasons:

Firstly, it was a top 3 vote, For all we know Danny or Harriet could have captured 90% of the vote

Secondly, free polls are no indication of who will win. Take a look at Ashleigh last year

Thirdly, BB were saying it had dire consequences for the winner of the poll, that doesn't encourage people to vote for their real favourite.
