I get what Vanessa is saying.
Joe would have got 28 or more points without the fall.
He would have been top of the board.

Which makes it really odd that in an ice skating competition, for the golden ticket it goes to someone who wasn't first choice at all of the judges.
Even more odd they all voted for Rufus.

So is the golden ticket going to be used only to preserve some cannon fodder for use in future weeks.

I think the golden ticket is unnecessary and just another ridiculous power trip for the judges over the public.

Plus, the lines could have been opened longer too.

I love this show but honestly this new golden ticket thing and how it was marked too came across extremely amateurish.

A show like this doesn't require more judges control gimmicks.

I really like Joe and want him to do well but he fell and that Should’ve had more repercussions. 5/5.5s at least.

Yes, but every judge was going to give Joe at least a 7 so he'd have got a minimum 28 votes.

He got less than that because of a point deduction for the fall.

I do think the marking was odd, out of 6 contestants, 4 on the same highest votes given was odd.

For me personally Rufus was the one more likely to be in the dance off.
I do agree Denise should have skated next week too.

However it's a fact on the voting of the judges, that had Joe not fallen, he'd have been by at least a fair few votes more, the clear leader on the night.

If their guideline is, if there's a fall then around a point is deducted, then that's what happened.
As all judges said until the fall, they intended to give Joe at least a 7.

I remember Perri Shakes-Drayton being a fantastic skater/dancer and being miles ahead of her competition but going out in week 3/4. It’s disgusting

I remember Perri , she was like a professional . Again totally unfair that she got booted early .

And as mentioned it's weird that Mardy vardy was safe , looks like the media drama just made her more popular .

I think on this show people vote for their favourite celeb, regardless of the skating.
It's always been like this, same as Strictly.

...and thats always going to happen. However there are a lot of people that show respect for those that deserve it.
