A controversy has emerged over Sir Keir Starmer's backing of the prosecution as during his tenure as director of public prosecutions in 2013, he issued guidance suggesting prosecutors should take a more lenient view when suspects quickly removed offensive posts and showed authentic regret.

Is someone pulling the strings behind the scenes and letting Starmer take all of the blame?

"Slippery Starmer has failed to silence Lucy Connolly."

It was her racist hate filled opinions that got her silenced in the first place, maybe she should just be quiet for the sake of her child.

Barely a third of her sentence served.
I hope however she's watched and monitored to see if she commits her hate filled prejudice again.

However it would be nice to think, she may consider her despicable thinking and how she expresses it, as to how it may also affect her children and family.

Something she didn't give a damn about before.

Why does someone having child make them immune to serving a certain jail sentence for committing a crime and admitting to it?

For the charges she pleaded guilty to carry a minimum sentence of 3 years. She got the shortest sentence she possibly could.

That's not how it happened..if she hadn't pled guilty she would have got 4.5 years...she pled guilty, bit the judge still started h8s sentencing at 4.5 years, then reduced for the guilty plea to 3.

He could have started at 3, then reduced for the guilty plea.

IF found guilty. Any decent lawyer would have been able to get her off on a jury trial.

Tbh it should have been a suspended sentence.

No way was what she did bad enough to warrant jail time.
