Forgot another bit! Before the guys came on,I saw Chris Vaughn(their production manager) in the security gap and I was OMFG It's Chris Vaughn! And the guy beside my mum was like 'You're excited about him, imagine you at Take That'lol! And then Skippy(floor manager) was fixing something and I was like OMFG It's Skippy! And then Kim Gavin(Creative Director) walked by with Chris Vaughn again(like right in front of me!) and I was like ARGHH.
I really don't know how I didn't faint at Take That ![]() 9 days to Manc,woot. |

Jeez, didn't think my 26th would be this long! Will put 27th and 28th up later or tomorrow, have to type them first!
26th June Up at 4am, flight was at 6.30am, arrived at our hotel about 8.30ish I think. After thankfully having a room free, we checked in where they asked if we were going to the tour and gave us a 5 page leaflet about it! It was amazing; it seemed nearly everyone staying there was going! Amazeeeee. Then we went in search of breakfast. Best I could find was veggie sushi in Tesco Express down the road! So after that and attempting to fall asleep in front of the telly me and my mum went to sleep for a while, me for a good 3 hours! By then it was 2 and we went down to the hotel restaurant where they had a special Take That menu where all the dishes were named after Take That songs! I ordered ‘All I Want Is You’ which was some cheese thing for starter. For main I got ‘The Garden’ pizza which was a margarita with salad and they had cut out the edges to make it into a symbol! AMAZING! It was like the hotel was Take That mad. For dessert I got ‘Meaning of Love’ which was lemon torte-yum. We started walking to the stadium at about 4 and soon bumped into loads and loads of Thatters, along the way there were lil mini TT cards on the road! Once we were about 3 minutes away from the stadium there was a Thatter eruption-TT tops, symbols, hats, screams, people selling stuff-absolutely everywhere. We picked up the tickets from the box office and then it was merchandise time! I had to go to 3 different stalls as they didn’t have want I wanted in all of them-throughout the 3 I got 6 t-shirts,hoody,umbrella,2 posters,2 necklaces, braclet, red nose a hat and a keyring( I got another t-shirt and picture cards the next day). As I had promised my mum seats in Manc we went to the GA seats which were WAYYYYYY at the back, we got 3rd row middle in the middle somewhere. Before Gay Go, there was the usual music playing, singsongs and people watching. There was also a TT blimp, birds and balloons going across/up and down on the screens Being at the back for this concert made me notice the people going to a Take That concert. I say about 50% were women from 20ish to late 30ish but there were kids from 3(boys and girls) right up to 70 year old women! There was families, couples, friends, all sorts. Gary Go came on about 6 and he was alright, he dedicated his song ‘Wonderful’ to Michael Jackson, saying he had been a huge influence for him and anyone in music who said he was lying. James Morrison came on about half an hour later, best song was definitely Broken Strings. He was very good live. He dedicated his last song to Michael Jackson, although I can’t remember what song it was. The guys came on about 8.30; there was the balloons and all the other stuff going on. The balloons went off into the sky and the guys appeared singing Greatest Day! Then they all introduced themselves, Mark getting the loudest cheers and broke into Hello and then they went down the steps of the B-Stage and starting shaking the crowd’s hands!!!! Sooo going to the B-Stage one of my London dates. For Could it be Magic there was mad dancing all around-the boys and us! Although Jay was mad dancing all night! Pray was proper dancing, with all the guys hugging in the middle during the song-so cute! A Million Love Songs had lots of swaying and singing, Mark ‘conducted’ the crowd. Back for Good has the rain with Gary saying ‘Bring on the rain’ and them laughing at the wet audience-the meanies! Amazingly BFG is no longer the loudest song at a TT concert although it was still very loud! The boys shove the microphones towards the crowd a lot during BFG. Next came the elephant, the boys looked so happy when everyone wooped. I spotted Briony hanging off the back as the tail; she was tossing her head about like a mad woman! When the reached the stage Mark said ‘Are you ready to run away to the Circus?’ Shine began immediately with all sorts of Circus acts going on on stage and the ringmaster also saying ‘It’s what you’ve been waiting for! Welcome to the Circus!’ Mark strutted out in this white outfit and big top hat-no spilt trousers this time Loads of very long ‘Shineeeeeeeeeeeeeee’ notes coming from the crowd though. Up All Night again felt like a ginourmous party, with Jay going afterwards ‘I could see some Up All Night’ dancing going on out there!’ Next it was Jay’s turn to mention Michael Jackson, saying it was hard to do a concert after such a sad thing happening. Jay said the moonwalk was the first ever dance move he learned with Howard saying Gaz was still trying to learn, lol! It was touching. Jay then his little bit with Wooden Boat and How Did It Come to This. The crowd completely pissed me off during WB as loads went to the toilet. For HDICTT, Jay got us clapping our hands and thanked us. He said they said thanks a lot but there was nothing like saying it front of a live audience-loud wooping ensued. The boys then left the stage and Gary and his piano and the tightrope walker took the spotlight. Gary’s vocals on The Circus are unbelievable! They sound better than on the album, although personally I think the boys sound better live than recorded anyway. What Is Love was next and it was finally Howard’s chance to shine-it still amazes me they can put on make-up and sing at the same time! The 90’s medley was next-thrusting, dancing, with Gary’s moonwalk getting a huge cheer. The unicycles appeared and when How was getting on he moved his emm equipment to get on and the camera zoomed in! I swear half the place was nearly fainting! Jay was next, him and Howard are amazing on the unicycles, going all the way down the runway and around the B-Stage. Mark had to be helped up again-a gag to his shortness and he fell off at the B-Stage although that’s intentional: P Gary then appeared on his trike and send the whole place off-still so funny! Then they did some more dancing and all DROPPED THEIR PANTS!!!! They revealed TT boxer shorts-place went MENTAL! I couldn’t get a pic though as smoke came up at the same time-grr. Said It All is amazing live, the chorus was very loud from the crowd. It’s the most moving song live. Never Forget, fan anthem for a reason! Hands in the air-incredible! Patience was so easily the loudest song of the night, well joint. Everyone sang and Markie did his usual yummy stomping. Relight had the scary man, the sparkly costumes and the WHIPS! Argh. The fans did the arm movements for the ‘strong enough to walk on through the night’ bit too. Then as the guys waved bye, loads of people actually started to live! For Hold Up A Light, Mark comes up crouched over (in a yum way) in his gorgeous sparkly bodysuit-lots of pretty lights, lots of jumping up and down. The guys go back to the B-Stage for their wave bye and then it was RTW song! Gary said they were dedicated this song to Michael Jackson and to look up into the sky and see a star and it would be him. We all launched into Rule the World, arms up, voices loud as we all looked up into the sky and sang our hearts out. I started to cry at this as RTW really does bring out the emotions live. The guys went around waving bye, with Gary+How and Jay+Markie hugging on the 2 sides of the stage as the fireworks lit up the sky. Then they waved, thanked us all, bowed and left. The Manchester atmosphere was unreal, nowhere like hometown! |

Were you upset about Gaga Laura?
She's lost 100,000 fans there, for the two days that she missed and I heard they were all really p***** off? |

Word on the forum is that Lady GaGa did the soundcheck and was fine(the people in the queue heard her) and the security told some people that she wanted a bigger stage to perform on and they said no and she said she didn't want to perform! Cheek of her. Apprentley the boys don't want her back and are having The Script do her dates instead.
Will do 27th and 28th reports tomorrow, need my bed! |
