Rihanna, Chris Brown duet 'leading candidate for next single'

Rihanna's new duet with Chris Brown is likely to be her next single.

Vice President of A&R at Island Def Jam, Abou Thiam, has revealed that 'Nobody's Business' is the leading candidate to be the Bajan star's next release.

However, he told Billboard that the label "always takes the approach of putting the record out, getting feedback and letting people decide where to take it from there".

He added: "There's a lot of big records on the album, but we want the people to decide what they want to be next."

The track has been the focus of many reviews of Unapologetic, which received a mixed response from critics upon its release yesterday (November 19).

Meanwhile, Roc Nation president and co-founder Jay Brown insisted that Unapologetic's success will not be measured on sales, but rather its cultural impact.

"She's in a phase where she's going from being cultural to iconic. It's good for her to do her own thing and not do the norm and stretch a little," Brown said.
