It was an insult and it was completely uncalled for. She got personal first. Like I said, she doesn't know me yet she made a comment about how I supposedly come across. I had to react, I couldn't let it go, she had to expect consequences. At least I explained to her why I made the comment, she didn't do it back.

To be fair Remy, and I hate to get involved, and I can see your side of things too, being called gay isn't really an insult. It's just a sexuality.

I don't see you as that at all. I know you're a nice guy and I know you love your women. But as Jords said, people throw the term 'gay' and 'batty boy' around very loosely and unnecessarily, at least over in England anyway. All I'm saying is that being called gay isn't really an insult, but I guess it might affect people differently. Meh. Please don't think I'm taking sides here though. You have every right to defend yourself if someone insults you, but just to me I wouldn't consider 'batty boy' an insult, I'd laugh it off because it's a playground insult.
