"Oh look Vanessa's out there laughing with everybody, isn't that cute?" Oh Shelli. Didn't really appreciate her in BB17 due to her taking out Da'Vonne and Audrey but she's grown on me since.

Lmao that quote and then her walking outside asking everyone what they were talking about with a smug grin on her face made me scream.

Yeah she got rid of my early favourites, and I was really pissed off when she targetted Da'Vonne (see my earlier rant) but outside of that I grew to like her again, she's nice and she's definitely played quite a big part in why the season has been brilliant so far.

The episode I just watched was sooo good

That big argument just before Clay's eviction was such a mess. I was confused with how it all started but I'm here for the drama tbh. You had Clay vs. James, Vanessa vs. Clay & John, Vanessa going into emotional wreck mode again and breaking down and everyone else in the Have Not room putting their ears towards the wall to eavesdrop whilst it's all kicking off <333

And ontop of that you have these random feuds in Becky vs. Steve and Becky vs. Vanessa.

Becky winning HoH

And ik they hate eachother but I love both Becky and Vanessa. But not here for this plan to get Vanessa backdoored </3

And Steve at the end after the nomination ceremony

"Yes Becky, I know I'm a superfan"
"Yes Becky, I haven't won any comps"
"Yes Becky, I haven't gotten my hands dirty"
"But that was all intentional. So thanks for advertising it around...YOU'RE NOW MY NEXT TARGET! "

dlgkfkflglfl he's so evil

It's so weird seeing them have fun on the feed clips. The main show just air all the game talk and plotting.

mhmm, the stuff BBUS edits out is the stuff that BBUK edits in and vice-versa. Sums up why I think BBUK is much superior even in its current state.

BBUK's editing has gone so downhill post-BB14 really. The thing is C5 always select their chosen 'pet' for the series and forcefully shove them down our throats for weeks on end and try to force something that wasn't even there to begin with (see Helen Wood, Perez, Katie H, Marc, Steph & Jeremy, Bear and any other future HM's who'll soon be joining this list)

And as a result of this, the editing isn't as balanced as it used to be either. It's all manufactured conflict and screaming matches with little to no fun or normal interaction whatsoever (BB15 and CBB15)

oh trust me, I don't disagree at all, but even so to me things just feel so much worse with BBUS because when you look at how the episodes are produced and edited, it's evident that this is a show that discourages complexity, strives for its characters to be as one note as possible, scripts every line for them to scream in the DR, and more less casts the same group of assholes year in and year out. It's hard for me to recognize a lot of the HGs as actual human beings rather than just vague archetypes they're checking off of their checklist, and even though BBUK leans towards this trend too it just feels sooooo much more blatant in BBUS that it actually offends me. IDK, I just think the show is frustratingly dumbed down each year and it's really insulting and depressing that they think this is what the audience wants, but then again I keep watching so I'm the loser in all of this.

Despite it being mostly game talk I like to think BBUS editing/episodes/in general is better because it's not focused on one person or a clique, pretty much all of them get air time so we know they are there.. If Meg was on BBUK she wouldn't get much air time and will be called boring because she doesn't get involved in arguments, she wasn't that exciting on BB17 but we knew she was there.

Meg is a flop no matter what version of BB she did.

But that's not the point I was making..it was just an example of a 'flop' that got air time on BBUS but wouldn't get air time on BBUK (you don't watch that version so i doubt you will understand) - I wasn't saying meg will be exciting on BBUK lol

I don't recall Meg getting a lot of air time but maybe she did and I just didn't pay much attention to her.

She got plenty of air time well not as much as others but we knew she existed, she wasn't special just sweet and likeable. But on the UK version(C5 era) if there was a bore you will probably forget about them most of the time. That's why I like BBUS/CAN shows because they don't just focus on a clique/one person that it gets exhausting to watch, that's why I love US bb more than the UK version now.

BBCan leads the way as far as editing is concerned IMO. They strike the perfect balance of character development, game talk and ~irreverent moments~, plus the narrative usually aligns with the feeds which is more than can be said for BBUS

BB17's episodes did have their irreverent moments; the problem being that said irreverent moments usually involved Steve falling in love with camera equipment and very little else

No irreverent moment will ever top Joel's rendition of Call Me Maybe
