They need to be finding dirt on him, not Rayner. But that's just me looking at it from a preservation of the current Government perspective, thankfully the Tory Government isn't seeing it that way, so we can finally be rid of them. ![]()

…if she’s ‘guilty’ then why is a team of 12 officers needed to pursue that…it really is The Hounding of Angela Rayner…/…excerpts of the book serialised daily in your local tabloids…put a big enough team on it for long enough and you will find something….she’s there, she’s in the public sight…she’s not going anywhere and she’s no threat to public safety etc…and 12 officers are scouring every nook and every corner …?…while people who ‘are known to the police’ are out there, hurting people and …oh, there’s nothing we can do until they harm/kill…so in the meanwhile, we’ll busy ourselves with Angela Rayner ….not a great and look for the police force…(…again…)…

One of the worst things you can do from a criminal point of view is try and dodge paying council tax. Councils are ruthless in getting their money, and do regularly put people in prison

…although that’s true, I think that The Hounding of Angela Rayner is much more layered than that …it’s just that now, they feel there is something to have her step down or step out for…but she’s been in the sights for a while and long before this, hasn’t she…the ‘worst’ thing is surely calling the Tory ‘scum’…which was completely and absolutely wrong and she unreservedly apologised for …she’s an uppity working class gal and she ‘teases’ those poor Parliament men by crossing her legs/while wearing a skirt at the same time…and that’s something they don’t want to see outside of their private clubs…if she’s dodging tax, if that’s the only layer…?….then that doesn’t equate with 12 police officials investigating, this is something…(…imo…)…quite more multi layered than that…and that’s why they’ll dig and dig and dig until something is found…

It's just crazy from a moral perspective, that the Government and the Councils are more bothered by Tax Fraud (which I don't support tbh) but they'll go for that way harder than they will on actual evil crimes like murder, paedophilia, rape, and people that throw Acid onto other people. It's sick and twisted imo.

i do think her card has been marked. I expected 2 or 3 police resources to be put on this at a maximum. I don't know if she is guilty or innocent, but she has gone after very powerful people in the recent past and they have clearly plotted their revenge before they get flung out of power later in the year

Labour destroyed documents that could have revealed Rayner’s living arrangements
Party says selection papers from deputy leader’s candidate application ‘disposed of’ in line with ‘data protection requirements’ (at the weekend) |

If this had been a tory, then the whip would have been removed and the local party would have deselected her.
For the good of the party, to quote Oliver Cromwell, "In the name of God, Go!"

BBC News Text :
[Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has reduced her tax bill by declaring her new flat in Hove as her main residence, according to the Daily Telegraph. The paper suggests Rayner has saved Ł40,000 by making the declaration on her new Ł800,000 flat, but also makes clear this is "entirely legal".] ![]() Last edited by arista; 29-08-2025 at 03:03 AM. |

She literally has no shame
So once again she is being super dodgy about her living arrangements, the people who elected her will be delighted that she no longer sees her home there as her primary residence

So, AngelaRayner is understood to have removed her name from the deeds of
her house in Greater Manchester a few weeks before buying an Ł800,000 seaside flat in Hove, East Sussex. She then told the tax authorities the seaside flat was her main home. The change enabled her to save approx. Ł40,000 in stamp duty charges. |

Surely if your constituency MP moves to basically the other side of the country, you can call a bielection?

They are all the same when it comes to cooking the books
It does put a smile on my face when voters think they are voting for someone they can trust to represent them in parliament The rich get richer and the poor get poorer that will never change I’ve never voted and never will because it’s a waste of time |

What this does more than anything is encourage the GBP to gain the system in everything that they do. If the deputy PM thinks it's ok, then it's ok for everyone. It will be interesting when they next take people to court for doing the same type of stuff
