New Idea...

Big Brother 8: It's only a game show

For this series BB goes back to being a game.

14 Housemates compete for 1 Million. Producers choose the most competitive housemates ever.

This series we see the return of Saturday Night Challenges but this time they will air late night on E4 as a proper show, with a host and a guest panel (Similar to 'Friday Night Games' in BBAUS). The housemates will be competing against each other. The winner will receive immunity from eviction and will get the power to save one of the nominated housemates from eviction.

On nominations day, the housemates will as normal nominate the 2 housemates they want to evict - with the 3 or more housemates with the most number of nominations up for eviction. The results would be announced to the house as soon as nominations have finished. Then the HoH would be called into the Diary Room and asked to choose which housemate the want to save. That housemate then becomes immune and the housemate who recived the 4th highest number of nominations will take there place.

On week 4, after 4 of the original 14 had been evicted, 5 brand new housemates will move into a second house. Every day throughout the week each of the 5 housemates will visit the main house. At the end of the week the housemates in the main house would be asked to choose 2 of the new housemates to enter the main house. They will think that the remaining 3 would have been evicted but this is false. Instead the remaining three will stay in the Secret House and will be come Big Brother's sidekicks, They will have access to 'The Control Room' and will be able to watch everything that happens in the main house. The 3 sidekicks will stay here until 2 of them decide to walk, leaving 1 to become a housemate. This can happen at any stage, unless it gets to the last week. If this is case then the remaining sidekicks will be asked to come a decision so that one of them will enter the house for the last week.

I think this could work, a new format and just one big twist that would carry on through the series.

I have a few ideas:

-16 housemates enter (8 males, 8 females), and the Saturday Night Live Task is back! and the show will last for 15 weeks (may - august)

-Housemates that break rules or discuss nominations will be punnished by video clips being simutanously played on the plasma screens showing the housemate bitching/discussing nominations to stir up conflict

-When there are just 10 housemates left in the house, a Best Friend twist will take place. In the outside world, 10 potential housemates (each being best friends (colleague, relative, friend, partner, husband, etc...) to one of the housemates inside the house) will be up for a public nomination to be voted into the house. We will see short video interviews of all the Best Friends to help us decide which one we would like to vote for. The housemates are gathered and told about the twist where they have a minuite each to sell there best friend to the voting public. An hour later, with all the Best Friends lined up outside the house on the plasma screen, giving the housemates a glimpse of their friends, Davina announces the new housemate. This gives the Best Friend the chance to win the show and help their best friend out, telling them about any bitching thats been going on about them. Little do the pair know is that they automatically face eviction that week.

-The Shackle Task : Housemates are paired up and are shackled together for whole 3 days. Nominations take place as usual but theres a twist. Whoever leaves will be evicted with their shackle partner.

-The penultimate eviction will involve the housemates telling the two nominated housemates which one will have to leave the house.

-The reward room is back! And has a different theme each week. The saturday night live task determining who may enter and who cannot.

-One weeks task will split the house directly into two teams, determining which group of four (8 housemates in total) face eviction (the loosing team). One housemate from each team will face eachother in a set of cruel games (eating horrible combinations/bugs, going without sleep for the longest, etc...) and then finally a group challenge. Two people from the loosing group will be evicted in a double eviction

...I'll post more as soon as i think of some...watcha think of those ^^? lol

I definetly think Big Brother should go back to basics, without going all the way back, after all, we dont want it to be boring. The Housemates should be entertaining and clashy to provide the tension and build stories.

The Housemates will recieve basic rations each week by Big Brother such as rice, flour, pasta etc, the chickens will be back to provide the eggs, and they have to bake their bread again. The prizefund will start at £0. The weekly assignement, will be a 3/4 day long task which will be worth £10,000 approx. So the Housemates will want to complete them in order to build up a successful prize fund. The Saturday Live tasks will be back, which if housemates pass, they will win a £5 budget individually to buy luxuries such as chocolate, smokes etc. Alcohol will be provided by Big Brother sparingly.

Each week should be scheudueled like it was BB1-4, here's the idea I had...

Friday - Entrance Night
Saturday - Luxury's Task
Sunday - Normal Day
Monday - Nominations & Assignement Begins
Tuesday - Assignement
Wednesday - Assignement Ends
Thursday - Normal Day
Friday - Eviction

Housemates now have a 5 minute time limit to make their nominations, if Housemates fail to make their noinations in time with full reasons, they could end up nominating themselves.

Eviction nights will be hosted live from the studio and crowd. Break bumpers will done in crowd, where Davina will chat to them and ask the questions etc. The eviction announcements will be broadcast from the studio.

A good long lasting twist is needed like the divide in BB3 or a few smaller ones here and there. I think the only ne Housemates to enter, shiuld do so in week4, where we could choose them like back in BB2.

Hope you like my idea, i know its a simple one, but simple works!....

I think they should get rid of the wall seperating the main house from the secret house and have it all the one big house.

Default My Big Brother 8 Idea

I decided to make my own Big Brother 8 house and idea for the series. I haven't finished the chronology yet; that'll be posted later. My house (yes, I drew this by hand) looks like this:

Here's mine:

On the first night, 14 Housemates will enter the Big Brother House, and when they see the Garden for the first time, one of the first things to cross their mind will be, "Where's the swimming pool?". The Swimming Pool is in the Luxury Garden located through a door in the Living Area, and will be connected to the Luxury Room that will have a buffet of delicious food, a minibar with expensive alcohol, a Jacuzzi and a changing room. The Live Task on Saturday nights will be brought back for the winning Housemates to be granted permission to this room for a week, and on the third night the first Live Task will take place. But the catch is, the winning seven Housemates will secretly be put up for eviction, with the first evictee being booted the following Friday.

A notable feature in the Garden is a stone platforn with steps leading up to some seats, appropriately known as The Platform. Like Nowhere, it will be shaped in a semi-circle and it's a place in the Garden for Housemates to sit and chat. Unlike Nowhere, it will serve a purpose. On the Monday of week four, the two Housemates with most nominations will be called to the Diary Room and told so. They will then be told to wait on The Platform for further notice. As they sit on the platform, it will, to the shock of the two Housemates, suddenly rotate round to a corridoor with one door. They will be lead through this door to a room of monitors and panels called the Secret Power Room. In this room they will be able to browse through hours of archive footage of the rest of the Housemates and be able to find out what the others have said about them. After four hours in the Secret Power Room, the two Housemates will be told to go back to The Platform, where they will be rotated round back into the Garden, and will instantly be called to the Diary Room where they will each decide one Housemate to be put up for the public vote that week.

Instantly after the eviction in week six, four new Housemates will enter through the main doors. The original Housemates will be told that the new housemates will be the only people nominating the upcoming week, and will nominate one person, that person instantly being up for eviction. The following day, the Live Task will take place as usual, and the New Housemates will instantly have access to the Luxury Room. However, only two originals will be able to earn a place in the Luxury Room. The six losing Housemates will shortly afterwards be called to the Diary Room. They will be told that they will all be living in the 'Poor House' for the next week, and will be told to exit through the door on their left. The Poor House will have a wooden table and chair, wooden walls, uncomfortable beds and sofas, and a small garden. Throughout the week, Housemates in the Main House will be allowed to give the Poor Housemates a brief visit, but not vice-versa. The Poor House twist will be used up until Week 10, when it will be closed, but will still be used in tasks.

As for the Diary Room, the chair is Green and cubed, and the walls change colours to suit the mood. Red will be for a Housemate being told off, Blue will be for nominations, Purple will be task related and Yellow will be a general DR visit.

I will try and make this House in Google Sketchup too...if I can, that is.

OK, a new one:

Instead of the outside stairs being on the left hand side of the House, Housemates will enter up stairs on the right hand side. On the left hand side at the top of the stairs will be a walkway leading to the doors of no return.

The House will be open plan this year and although the Lounge isn't in a seperate room, it's in a small section in the corner of the House.

The House itself will have a very sharp corners as opposed to the more rounded look of recent years. The furniture and overall look of the House is very futuristic.

The Bedroom will be in the Garden similar to BB5 but instead of having to walk across the wooden platform, it is also accessible inside the actual house. The Bathroom is at the other end of the Bedroom.

The Garden is pretty normal, but with the addition of a Shed in the bottom corner, and a mannequin which will play a "hand" in one of the biggest twists this series...

The Diary Room has a Green cubed chair and the wall behind it changes to suit the mood of the DR convo. Yellow will be for normal visits, Purple will be for task-related issues, Red will be for a telling off () and Blue will be used when Housemates nominate.

On the other side of the Diary Room is a secret room which will be used for major tasks, the Prison Task in BB7 being a similar example. It has it's own Bathroom and outside area. This room will be introduced around week four.

Oh, and you may have noted a few rooms highlighted in Red on the right-hand side of the House. Well, I won't explain now, but in time it will give two Housemates more power than they could ever imagine...

And Saturday night tasks will return, but they'll involve two teams of Housemates competing against one another. The winning team will get the privelige of doing the shopping list...unless both teams lose.

The series will see less twists than previous years, in favour of a couple of huge twists, including the one I mentioned above.

So what do you think?

Default My bb8 house

You might be sick of looking at people's house plan... but i was bored lol.

The lounge is in the middle of the house and all the walls are glass, so you can see the garden, bedroom, kitchen dining area. So theres no where to hide.

The bedroom has long slidy glass doors, there are 11 single beds and 1 triple bed.

The bathroom/ toilet. This is the only toilet in the house. It includes a bath, shower and 1 toilet.

The kitchen is kinda like the bb5 one. Like a bar with a with 3 stools. Next to the kitchen is the dining area. The table is round and has a whole in the middle (i saw one in buger king.. i thought it would look good in the bb house lol).

(the white line next to the table is a step)

The diary room. The chair wont be really a normal chair, it will be a hand. (a bit like them old mobile phone holders)
.. but a bigger version.

In the garden.. The garden is bigger.. for better tasks.. w/e The pool is also rectangle.. which hasnt been used on bb.. i dont think. On both sides theres a seating area, with wooden gazebo at the bottom half.. so you can have a sit down even when it rains.

The large space i havnt use could be far a secret room.. w/e

So thats a bit about the house plan..

The eye.. i cant really be bothed to make one.. but i think it should be dotty. It might look good...

Comment.. (if ya want) oh and sorry bout spelling.

Hey, I'm a new member and have made this house plan for the upcoming series. This houseplan uses the Elstree site to its full potential!
The entrance is now on the right hand side of the house instead of the left where it has been since they moved to Elstree, The corridor goes straight along then turns left to the door.
Once opening the door the housemates will see a open plan living space.
Carpets have a circle theme, with mint green colours. To the right is the large purple leather sofa. The walls would for the first time have continuing mirrors all around them, instead of lots of square mirrors. The wall colours would me mint green and some walls would be green glass/mirrors.
To the left of the house is the kitchen. The kitchen is a unusual shape, and is decorated in light blue colours, the worktops would be plastic, with blue walls.
Near to the patio doors which lead to the garden are a set of small chairs which create another living area. The dining area although very small will look big to the housemates because of glass looking into the garden, around a corner from the dining table is a gym.
Beside the dining and lounge is the bedroom, the bedroom has a pale blue and purple theme, with purple duvets and 3 double beds.
Into the garden, although narrow, it would be quite large, to the left is decking area with a pool and a sand area to entertain the housemates.
In the corner of the garden is a type of glass box, which looks straight into the Bathroom. The bathroom continues with the pale blue theme from the bedroom, with pale blue tiles and white walls. There is a bath, toilet with NO door, sink and a shower.
Now onto the other rooms, Next to the garden is a outdoor task area with benches for the housemates to sit on while waiting.
It would only be accessable during tasks.
Onto the Diary Room, the walls would be mood lighted like last years lounge, with a teal circle chair, and a idea from BB Australia here - a lie detector.
Finally, a secret room, not a house!
The 13th Room would be the most unlucky room in the house, once a housemate is in there, they will not be able to rest!

There you have it, my house idea. Hope you like!

Thanks.
The 13th Room would basically be a room which is unlucky.
Housemates may be called in there and told by Big Brother theres a luxury room and are therefore tricked into the room, which would actually be very simple and poor. Once in there, housemates could be put up for eviction, slave on the rest of the housemates etc.
I just thought it would be something different from a Secret House!

i wasn't to fond of the whole - inside out theme last year - i think they should have like a theme park scene - like there's a statue of candyfloss and every friday theres a big task for them to do that comes out of the statue - and when they wake up rollercoster noises are played. And also a sort of rollercoster (mini) and every morning in the garden with an envelope with someones name inside comes down and whoevers names is in there has to do a task by themselves and win stuff for the group....The puplic vote for who they want to do the task.

It sounds great, an interesting twist! Though wouldn't the HMs eventually get the gist of it?

Also, it could be used for Tasks similar to the Prison task in BB7 and the Masters And Servants task in CBB5.

Anyway, I hope the producers get some ideas from the BB8 House off here, as they're all great!

This forum is coming up with great ideas lately, Endemol should take some of the ideas seriosly and maybe incorperate them into the new BB8 house, and I love Josh20593 ideas.

By the way geoking66 I really liked your houseplan, in the way the garden splits the house up. The only room not to be in the garden yet is the Kitchen, as we've had the bedroom in the garden in BB5 followed by the Lounge in the garden in BB6.

first go at this so its not very gud, but jus some fun

similar to before, glass panels will make it difficult for people to hide. the lounge is surrounded with glass panels which allows housemates to see the garder, bedroom and living area in the one room.

living area will be slightly larger than last time with an innovative dining table.

in the bedroom, housemates may be sleeping in the same room but the placement of the bathroom makes it difficult for all housemates to create unity. it will instigate group formation.

in the garden will be the usual pool and the garden closet will be a place for housemates to get away and sit. there is a stage which can be used as part of tasks.

the secret guest room will be used for exisiting or new housemates as a temporary stay.

the mind games room will be a bedsit type area with televisions showing them whats happening in the house. this room is connected to both the diary rooma and the bedroom. the connection to the bedroom will make it exciting, so when all housemates are in the garden, ppl in the room will have easy access to their personal belongings.

another secret room is the board room which is situated behind movable trees and bushes in the garden. this will be an intence room in which housemates will be forced to make unwanted decisions about the group and the future of other housemates.

umm.. yea! lol..

Gosh my first time posting here this year. Good to be back

My BB8 idea.

Theme : Home from Home

Think you were coming on Big Brother to get away from home life? Well think again. Over the next 11 weeks, housemates will want to wish they had stayed at home.
- Just a note, the Mum and Dads of the week are the housemates themselves, so dont get confused lol.

Week 1 : All housemates will vote for the Mum and Dad of the house for the following week. Mum and Dad will have there own bedroom and must complete tasks set in the week to secure there "family" shopping.

Week 2 : No Mum and Dad this week as Big Sister is in charge. This evil witch will always be breathing down there throats. Big Sister will make them all at the end of Week 2 nominate in front of each other.

Week 3 : The housemates will choose one of their fellow housemats to become Mum and Dad for the week. In the middle of the week Mum and Dad split and want a divorce. Dad must choose 5 of the family to move next door. They will then be able to see each other in their respective gardens. They will be sepearted by a traditional garden hedge. Mum and Dad will be separted for one week Wed - Fri wk4

Week 4 : Either Mum or Dad will loose a child in the public vote on Friday. On Sat, both are reunited.

And so on it goes. Housemates will be given Gas/Electricty and Water bills to pay (via completeing tasks), if they dont have enough money to pay bills - then the services will be cut off.
