Unsure why we’re bringing homosexuality and homophobia into this.

Back on topic. I’m all for free speech, however a fair few people seem to grasp the concept of free speech as being able to say whatever they want without facing any repercussions. Such as the guy who openly said Keir Starmer should be assassinated. Sometimes things should be left in the head; just because you can say it, doesn’t mean you should say it.

…with free speech, I do also feel that it has also had fragility in recent times and that has been/is being exploited by some who are less concerned with freedoms/rights of the people but more their own control and their own ethos/beliefs/mindsets being followed and gaining power and control…Elon Musk, Tommy Robinson, Nigel Farage…their own gain is the primary motivation, I think…which doesn’t make it freedom of speech at all but a fight for power and influence and the same as governments…’divide and conquer’, it’s all the same game and the public are still losing out to their own self promotions…

But if people tell you you can't say this or can't say that, your gonna say it more.

If they let you say it, then you will stop saying it.

For some people no. If you give them free rein they will say whatever they want because they can, and will take any opportunity to do so.

See above about the guy and Keir Starmer.

I do agree with you Benjamin.

I'm someone that is extremely pro-freedom of speech/freedom of expression type of guy, to the point where most people will probably think that I'm off of my head for thinking that way.

But we can't have a society where people are wanting to murder people, encouraging other people to murder someone, or celebrating someone's death just because they held a different opinion politically.

And the fact that to this day we have people that can't tell the difference between freedom of speech and criminal/evil behaviour is insanity to me.

This was a Tommy Robinson organised protest, he didn’t just stumble across it. The people are there because of Tommy Robinson not in spite of him.

Was super enlightening to see video footage or a group of “protect our women” men surrounding a sole woman, ripping her placard from her hand and breaking it in two. Was also pretty enlightening to see the swarm of men in the parade pass by a woman a bridge and sing “get yer tits out for the lads”.

When you campaign for free speech just so you can tell women to get naked for your own enjoyment. What a worthy cause

Tbf, a bunch of complete strangers coming up to a woman and asking for her to "bare her tits" is a bit odd.

Don't you agree?

I agree with you personally.

But it still doesn't change the fact that the woman in question was probably terrified of a bunch of strange men coming up towards her and making sexual remarks towards her.

I just can't defend that behaviour personally.

That doesn't sound good.

Because a lot of women are obviously going to feel uncomfortable with a load of strange men talking to her like that.

I don't mind a bit of back and forth banter, but this sounds like they were trying to intimidate her.

Wow... Some people have it in for straight, white, working-class men. Imagine if we generalised about all gay men like that. There'd be a dive-style breakdown happening.

Free Palestine marches are organised by Terrorist supporters. They applied for a licence to march the following weekend while the rapes, burnings, murders were actually being carried out on 7th October. No one minds about that. Want to talk about wife beaters and misogynists? Islam. No one minds that. That are ferociously anti-gay. Gays seem to quite like that.

You love to pretend I’ve openly supported Islam instead of literally saying the opposite.

Livia making stuff up: Pt 789 now I think.

Absolutely fascinating I criticise Islam and you ignore it and pretend it hasn’t happened, but when I condemn the far right you take issue with it. Why?

Ahhh British people at their finest. It’s a shame these types of people exist (on both sides) as they really add unwanted fuel to a fire.
