Keir isn't perfect. I'm a democratic socialist, but hate the crank wing of the party.
As a (now) teacher I would be very foolish not to vote for Keir

I'm hoping that when we get into power and sort out this mess left by the Tories by the next election we can then promise some extremely transformational changes. For now, we need stability. Get us out of this mess. Bring repute back to politics.

Expecting Starmer to have a transformative vision for the country during his 2nd election, which will be much closer race than this one, is wishful thinking. He has an open goal to offer anything he wants now because the Tories have screwed themselves.

He could offer free puppy kicking days for everyone and it wouldn't matter. if he is not offering you anything now, he certainly won't in a closer, more pressurised election.

He'll act like a tory during his first time, and then the media will coalesce around the tories and call him a communist, and then he'll fold. As always.

A true democratic socialist would be viewed with disdain by this labour leadership, so whilst you may call others cranks, I'd wager that is a better thing to be, than the person behind Starmer in a human centipede.

I know i'm guilty of not understanding how politics works these days and i'm sure it applies to millions of others. We used to have things like manifesto pledges, where it was crystal clear what parties were going to do if elected. Now, a pledge is condensed to a few buzz words that can be discarded on a whim. What is the point we all may ask ourselves. The truth is, any government will now do as they please once elected. The only important thing is to get elected.

Traditionally, i would say Starmer would walk the next election, but, honestly, now i'm not so sure. Politics is outside of traditional lanes. I think it's going to be a wild ride in the run up to the next election and all bets are off for me

I hate politics and politicians !!

I hate how they just change policies and rules / laws just to appease the voting masses instead of doing it for the right or correct thing reasons - for the benefit of the people and the country

What has he actually said to make so many people soil themselves?

[Shaista Aziz and Dr Amar Latif have both stepped down]

Two of the many Muslim Labour Councillors
that have resigned
As Starmer would not correct what he first
stated Live on LBC.

Oxford Council has lost its majority out.
9 Labour resigned there.

Rachel Reeves has denied claims of plagiarism, after it emerged some passages of her new book were lifted from sources including Wikipedia.

The Financial Times reported the shadow chancellor's book included reproduced material without acknowledgment.

A spokesperson for Ms Reeves said: "These were inadvertent mistakes and will be rectified in future reprints."

Tory MPs have ridiculed Ms Reeves online, while party chairman Greg Hands said she needed to "explain herself".

The book, The Women Who Made Modern Economics, was launched at an Institute for Government event on Wednesday evening.
