[COVID-19: Mutation of Kent variant detected
in samples could help virus evade immune system

A mutation of the Kent variant detected
in some samples could help the virus evade
the immune system, scientists have found.
The mutation, which has been labelled E484K,
has also been found in the South Africa variant
of the coronavirus.
It was found in 11 samples of some 200,000
that have been sequenced.

Sky's science correspondent Thomas Moore said it
was a "worrying development" as it could mean those
previously infected could be re-infected and could
reduce the effectiveness of COVID vaccines.

In relation to the sad loss of Captain Sir Tom Moore.
A question has entered my head I can't answer.

I've texted my medical connection family but wonder does anyone here know possibly the answer to this.

If you have Pneumonia and are being treated for it, then you can't, as in the case of Sir Tom Moore, have the covid vaccine.

Then what would be the situation if you get the covid vaccine, then later get Pneumonia.
Can you then NOT be treated for the Pneumonia.

Just curious, it's one I can't answer myself.

No once you had the vaccine you would be fine to be treated with other drugs for other illnesses Joey, you shouldnt have any vaccine including the flu jab or any of the childhood vaccines if you have the flu or fever

Thank you Cherie.
I was just lost a bit there as to the connection between the 2.
That makes full sense.
Many thanks.

Probably done so as not to overload the immune system with trying to fight different illnesses at the same time
