Where did Webber come from? Hamilton wins. Loving the new all-action F1.

The tyres are leading to great races. Just goes to show the answer for good racing is taking the grip off the cars.

Thought Hamilton was driver-of-the-day. Best pass was the one on Button. Webber done well but he had a big advantage with better tyres at the end.

Good race, but DRS is making things (especially the start very boring)

Alonso was saying that it was the tyres rather than DRS that was making overtaking easier.

Do you mean the drivers don't try and overtake at the start because they know now they can get passed later? Commentators said that yesterday.

Yeah the start has taken away any excitement of a crash for me.... you only have to look and see how many cars finished the last 2 races to see that they dont care about it that much I have high hopes for spain though.... And the speed thing with Mercedes is just stupid, they're either really fast or stupidly off the pace..... I really just need Schumacher to come good again to keep me interested, theres nobody on the grid that entertains me anymore....

Default F1 Buyout?

Formula 1 owners, CVC Capital Partners Ltd., have confirmed that the Italian company, EXOR, has contacted them for a possible buyout of Formula 1. The official statement from CVC Ltd. confirms that the talks were rather friendly and that Formula 1 is not for sale.

The current owner’s of Formula 1 publicised a statement which reads as, “CVC can confirm that it has recently received an approach from the EXOR News Corporation consortium. James Murdoch has informed us that the approach is friendly, at a very preliminary stage.” It further said that the Formula 1 is CVC’s property and is currently not for sale.

“CVC recognises the quality of EXOR and News Corporation as potential investors, but any investment in Formula 1 will require CVC's agreement and will need to demonstrate that it is in the interest of the sport and its stakeholders, taken as a whole,” concluded the statement.

Italian based company EXOR, run by John Elkann, and a media group stated that they are interested in the Formula 1 buyout and an attempt by Formula 1 supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, to deny the buyout news was a deluded effort.

EXOR’s interest is directly linked to the fact that the company owner, Elkann, is also the CEO of the FIAT Company. FIAT being the mother company of Ferrari Motorsports. Along with that, the Agnelli family has shares in EXOR and in FIAT.

Previously, Bernie denied the buyout reports and said that the company and the news corporation are just trying to make money out of the whole media conspiracy. The news about the Formula 1 buyout is almost three weeks old and started as a rumour. James Murdoch stated that his company is looking into Formula 1 buyout. After almost three weeks the rumours are converted into a proper proposal by both James and CVC.

The season continues in Turkey on the 8th of May and the off-track talks about Formula 1 future will continue long into the season. Most people do not expect Formula 1 to change hands too soon..

NEW DELHI: Force India has said it was committed to field Adrian Sutil in Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix despite a possible criminal complaint against the driver in the wake of his reported altercation with Renault owner Eric Lux.

Lux has threatened to file a complaint against Sutil for physically assaulting him in a night club in Shanghai after the Chinese Grand Prix, last month.

"Force India Formula One Team is aware of the statements made by both its driver, Adrian Sutil, and Mr Eric Lux of Genii Capital, pertaining to events following the Chinese Grand Prix.

"Although the team continues to monitor the situation, it remains fully committed to its driver line-up at this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix," Force India said in a statement.

Lux, one of the owners of the Renault F1 team, had issued a statement on Monday after a showdown with Sutil at the M1nt private club in Shanghai.

Lux was apparently injured by a broken champagne glass and a wound to the neck required 24 stitches, according to an Italian website.

The background of the altercation is not known yet but Sutil has maintained that Lux's injuries occurred by accident and he did not deliberately wound him.

The last time an incident like this occurred was when Belgian driver Bertrand Gachot was found guilty in a London court of assaulting a taxi driver in 1991 and was prevented from attending the Grand Prix of Belgium.

In the event of a civil conviction, Sutil's F1 super license could be at risk and he could temporarily lose his job with the team. Prior to this civil court judgement, neither the FIA nor Bernie Ecclestone are investigating the matter.

Great race by usual Spanish GP standards..... Hamilton, Button and Webber all under investigation for speeding, hopefully they get DQ'd then Schumacher gets a podium
