I got too eager and realised I hadn't actually written how he died

Danny slid down the small hill and straightened up at the foot of it, noticing that the garage owner had gone inside. He headed up to the garage doors and was suddenly blinded by two stage lights on either side of the room.


"Cool costume," Danny gasped in awe, "so is this a world war two thing or what? And that lighting behind you, that's not going to be that bright for the duration of filming is it? I mean I guess I could ignore it but-"
"Shut up," the figure in the gas mask groaned.
"Oh, I like that gadget - it disguises your voice as well as your face! Like one of those hackers you see in crime dramas or something-"
"I said shut up," Danny did. "I'm afraid the show's been cancelled. Lack of funding, I believe-"
"Just fantastic," Danny rolled his eyes, "I bet this is FOX again, I was just bloody getting into Utopia-"
Danny's fixation with reality TV was a cruelly ironic distraction from his own, very grim one. As he launched into a rant on the shortlived FOX series, the figure came up to his face and shoved him to the ground. As Danny struggled, the figure wrapped some ropes around his arms and legs, and bound his mouth with tape, before pushing Danny into a small hole in the ground used for surveying the underside of cars. Danny's head thudded against the concrete, and seemingly within seconds, the killer had returned with the jeep from up the road and was placing it onto the lifting mechanism above him. The figure removed the jeep's wheels and with a push of the button, the car was lowered onto Danny's writhing body. He could hear his own ribs cracking.




Danny's story...

Danny had always been a massive fan of reality TV shows. He'd watched them all from Survivor, The Amazing Race, The Mole. He'd always hoped to get onto them but his applications were never responded to. He didn't understand why; he knew he would be amazing at them as he had studied them for hours on end and knew he had what it took to win no matter what the game was, plus he knew he could be pretty ruthless if need be,

Then one day an email came, personally addressed to him.

Dear Danny,

thank you for your recent interest and video audition for our reality gameshow but unfortunately we do not feel you are right for it at the current time

However, we do have a new format for an up and coming game which we feel your personality would be most suited and it will test your ability to biggest challenge of all.

The game will commence on (31st October (is that when the game starts?) in Centralia, Pennsylvania.

We can not go into more detail of the game at this point as we want all contestants to have to think on their feet from the offset, but we can see how passionate and determined you are, so this should not prove difficult for you.

Please let us know asap if you are interested in playing as it is a first come first serve basis.

Please do not ask any questions or this will result in your application being TERMINATED.

He couldn't believe his luck! Excitement washed over him and he he paced around the room having to keep checking the email was meant for him. He had so many questions and wanted to know more but the email had specifically said not to ask any.

He couldn't risk it, and without any hesitation he replied to the email accepting the offer. Almost instantly, he got a reply.

A bus has been booked for you to the nearest town of Mt Carmel, from here you will be given directions to the meeting point. Please pack essentials for survival.
