I support the Labour MPs who have acted from their conscience.
Starmer is wrong to sack anyone.

He's so wrong to be a poodle to the government's line on this issue.

Way too many innocents have been on both sides and stil are being slaughtered in this conflict.
Starmer and Labour should be standing up for them.
If any MP believes a full ceasefire is now necessary, they should be able to in free conscience vote for that.
From ANY Party.

"The Opposition is meant to oppose"

I don't quite believe the Opposition party should stand against the Government on everything, bht they should stand against some things

But either way, there are some issues in which politicians should be allowed to vote their hearts without towing the party line, and that was one of them.

This is one of those times I agree.

War or any other conflicts should release all MPs of ALL Parties to be able to vote in a freevote as to their own conscience.
None of this collective responsibility nonsense or Party whipped votes.

That's not a properly organised democracy.

On the other hand, people leaving their jobs (forced or otherwise) over a foreign conflict is taking things too far.

The Scottish Labour MP

Also Voted for Ceasefire.

But he does not have to Resign.

8 Labour MP's in England all Resigned,
10 in all.

The SNP Ceasefire Vote was Lost,
anyway.

Starmers labour not only egging on the tory assault on the poor and disabled, but criticising them for not going far enough. How anyone can support these ghouls is beyond me.

Sir Keir Starmer has credited Margaret Thatcher as a prime minister who effected "meaningful change".

The Labour leader said Baroness Thatcher set loose Britain's "natural entrepreneurialism" in an article in the Sunday Telegraph.

In a clear pitch to Conservative voters, Sir Keir highlighted immigration and small boat crossings as "matters of serious public concern".

Sir Keir also praised Labour PMs Tony Blair and Clement Attlee.

"Every moment of meaningful change in modern British politics begins with the realisation that politics must act in service of the British people, rather than dictating to them," Sir Keir wrote.

"Margaret Thatcher sought to drag Britain out of its stupor by setting loose our natural entrepreneurialism.

"Tony Blair reimagined a stale, outdated Labour Party into one that could seize the optimism of the late 90s.

It’s like he’s actually trying to see how he can lose the election, why would someone 20+ points up in the polls need to do this? He’s just showing everyone what people have been saying he is, a Tory in a red tie.

Sure. Addressing concerns like immigration, and praising entrepreneurism (especially small businesses) are both fair ways to appeal to a broad section of voters, and not overly "right wing".

But praising Margaret Thatcher(ism) isn't going to win anyone over.

He could easily be losing votes to the point he lets the tories win. What is the point of voting labour if they are just going to be the tories under a different name
