I just don't think Daryl would have just laid down and accepted Rick exiling Carole. It annoys me how passive they write most of the characters around Rick. Like I said before they keep telling us that Rick is this great leader but they never show it, when it comes to good writing you have to show and not tell.

It's funny how Beth is still alive, I was rewatching season 2 finale, and in 1 group in the car is T dog, Lori, Andrea (she runs out to save Carol) & Beth. She's the only one with no dialogue in the car sat in the back, yet all the other 3 are now dead

Season 4 was good for the first few episodes and then it went to ****. Focusing almost half of the episodes on the Governer's stupid filler arc was a terrible idea. Also the Walking Dead should be an Ensemble piece, turning it to the Rick Show again and pretty much making everyone else subservient to his every whim and desire was boring as hell. The Walking Dead has great characters but unless they're called Rick then they're underused and made nothing more than a sidekick to him.

Season 2 was pretty good, the worst season by far was Season 3. They destroyed Andrea's character and the second half of the season was just endless filler with no pay off. Season 2 was a bit slow but the pay off was at least worth it.

It felt longer which is damning, if a storyline outstays it's welcome then it's failed in it's job. A good storyline should leave you wanting more

I thought the episodes were needed too end the Gov's story & thought they were great. They couldn't just bring him in 1 episode with no character development & kill him

They could have succinctly covered it in less than one episode though, they spent too long on an arc that ultimately didn't matter since the Governor didn't actually change in any meaningful way and we didn't get any insight to his character that we didn't already know. Nothing was accomplished by the Governer's arc as he was ultimately a plot device to get the group to leave the prison.
