Toya has been part of the Helen group which included Steven and Ash, they are not above being vetoed but it was a surprise to see I think for everyone.

That's the main reason they were arguing with her, it's not all about being up for eviction

Toya's friends with Helen and so by association is friends with Ash and Steven. Who's to say that Ash or Steven was her choice anyway, Matthew is part of the power duo too.
