These days people are sooooo obssesd with ratings, ho cares!! If you like the show why bother caring lol, I love BB and always will, yes the ratings are lower than in previous series but BB is still and always will be one of the most famous shows in TV history, so theres nothing to get worked up about.

They are as bad as the BB8 eviction ratings, i think

I don't understand why it isn't doing well, this is the best series since BB6. If the ratings don't increase then the producers must do something.

This might be the last series if the ratings fall again.

For the 15.748th time: Channel 4 and Endemol have a contract for Big Brother until 2010.
I couldn't make it clearer.

The eviction show apparently finished 7minutres before the it was supposed to, so in the last 5minutes when the show wasn't on it got 0.93m which brought the ratings down. If we took them 5minutes off then it would of averaged around 2.9m

But even 2.9m is bad. BB9 show really needed to get 4m or over at some point this week.

if the series flops channel 4 will rip that contract into shreads because channel 4 wont be asble to afford another series.

I'm sorry but that's not an excuse. The viewers watch the show when it's on, not off and watch it from beginning.
The most important thing is: we have to accept BB9 will flop just like BB8. The old times are over guys, you better get over it.

C4 wouldn't take the risk to break a contract with Endemol. And a contract breaking is complicated.

I think there should just be a 1 hour 30 minute show on a Friday instead of 2 shows.
Also maybe BB should go back to 9pm because so far it has got better ratings at 9pm and people who missed it watch on +1 at 10pm
So far its not looking good for a great series

I doubt it. it will add on about 200,000
It isn't a highlight, its a live eviction so people are more likely to have watched it on C4.

Whether it's a good series or not, the public turned it off since CBB5 and the massive controversy the show got.
Also, new reality shows have appeared, people don't seem to bother much about the show.

Of course they will have to. What do you expect ? It's all friendly-friendly. Breaking a contract will cost ŁŁ to whoever decides to rip it.

You have to remember that not everyone will watch every show. I bet you even some die-hard fans will miss a show because they're either out or busy. If you run a show every night for thirteen weeks its not going to get the same ratings every night.

Even if it's not breaking 4 million now - it still has 12 weeks to do so. Don't give up faith.

Even with some big fans, the ratings wouldn't be spectacular. The audience lost faith and got bored with the show.

The thing which annoys me most is a repeat of A Touch of Frost gets higher ratings.
There is no excuse for the bad ratings last night because there was nothing in which competes for the same audience as BB.
