Maybe more controlled. Charlie is more contrived though. Remember rushing off to tell Isaac and Noirin about what the others had said about them. He's often played the messenger and tried to set bad vibes about any other potential winner to try and bring them down. He was just as much of an asshole to Freddie as he was to Vash.
