Every day I check the forecast, http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/31

and it promises a sunny day next week. But invariably come the day and it's raining.

Europe's being flooded. (Take a look at the predictive sequence over the south of France for next week). 16 dead in flash flood in the US.

What's happened to the weather?

Nothing. The weather is just the same as always.

Stop looking at one icon weather forecasts online which are of no use to anyone and start watching BBC forecasts at 27 and 57 mins past the hour on BBC News 24 (503) or at the end of BBC news. Preferably watch the local forecast after your local BBC news.

The only thing that is befuddling you is your own lack of knowledge

It rained all day wednesday, I got soaked walking from my college to where i get the bus home, Its rained all day today too.

Shame, It was really nice yesterday. Not hot by any means but it was nice enough to sit outside for a little while.

OK then, do tell. What special knowledge have you got? And is it any better than the BBC's who say it will be sunny 3 days hence, and it rains?

Our esteemed weather forecaster this morning said it would be sunny now. Couldn't even get that right!

You misunderstand the word forecast, regional topography, time of day and the difference betwixt a one icon day forecast, a written forecast and a national forecast.

The problem is with your poor interpretation of the data not the data itself.

If for example you dont leave the house until 1pm and it rained 7 am to 12 am and was sunny 2pm till dark the one icon forecast for your area may indicate sunshine, dark cloud and rain. You think oh it will rain, go out and no rain, you then think it is wrong - but it is not wrong it just illustrated the limitations of one icon.
