Wow way to read into my comment. Firstly I didn't say his looks excused his at times unacceptable behaviour [and at times entirely justifiable, re: Rachael]. He is immature but I do believe his intentions always come from the right place and I feel is ignorance and lack of social intelligence get him into trouble so often that it makes him out to be more argumentative than he is. I think he's very misunderstood, especially by Josie.

Well I can but disagree. I think BBUK is at it's best when the housemates truly play the game to it's full potential like Makosi, Victor, Richard.

His behaviour was NOT justifiable with Rachael. He had no right to tell her what she should do in that house! She went in on her own and it is entirely up to her how she chose to act while in there. I have known guys like John James before. He has emotional attachment problems - this does not make him a bad person. He relies hugely on friendship which he can rely upon. He sees any harsh slagging or being lied to (as joise has done on a couple of occasions) as a betrayal of trust as it's making fun of him with the other housemates at John James expense. He doesn't like if he feels someone is messing with his emotions and is naturally guarded, very likely due to childhood experiences. He clearly doesn't hold a lot of stock in 'good looks' either as despite being a handsome guy he clearly grew up thinking he was ugly in some way. This is why he hated the emphasis Rachel put on her looks. A friend like John James is rare, very committed an
very loyal as long as you don't mess him around - if you do he is going to react badly. All the people slagging him are just judging him based on the arguments but are failing to see where they are coming from. He's a complex guy but from a psychologists point of view, pretty interesting. Josie is very lucky to have him as a friend and should stop messing him round. She made that crabeye comment (which she did say herself) even worse by purposely lying to him. This was like holding a red flag to a bull. From David o conner who is a psycologist.
