Default Dave says that he wants to be there when his daughter connsumates her marriage,

How can dave talk about the point his daughter consumates her marriage...yuck...he was going on and on to anyone who cared to listen as if he was fantasising about it...even saying he will be under her bed when she is consumating (having intercourse) reading some verses....Yuck yuckeek.gif

Most fathers like to not think about these things where their daughters are concerned..there is something not right about Dave...weirdo..

Well at least that's a different tack. Haven't had a NEW anti-Dave thread for a while. Well done.

As a parent myself I was pretty disgusted at his lack of respect for his own daughter when he said it. Not something you talk about with a friend even, let alone on the telly.

Is this taking the p..i..s.s?
praying on poor blind and deaf children and afflicted cancer sufferers?

Your idea of a joke is different to mine.

When Dave was asked if he would help to buy steve his legs if he won he replied.. No I have to look after my own family.

If you dont believe what a sicko he is take a look at this.

If you can't see that he was messing around then you really have had a sense of humour by-pass. It might be to your taste but he was joking.

I think there have been quite a lot of really successful sense of humour bypasses on this forum. Especially where Dave is concerned. He was clearly joking.

I was going to keep schtum because I hadn't heard him say that but as you seem to have confirmed it ...
I have two daughters, if my Husband EVER said something like that (even as a joke) I would lose all respect for him.
Its a despicable thing to say ... his poor daughter must be horrified, I hope she's still on her School holidays, I dread to think how it would impact on her within a classroom!!
Stupid man needs to consider what kind of a mess he's potentially creating for his Family whether he's 'having a laugh' or not!!

This to me is the worst thing that he has said. Absolutely terrible that a man can say that about his daughter. Poor girl.

I can't believe that people who are disgusted with this, are being accused of not having a sense of humour.
Daves crossed the line of decency( by any standards) .. there are lots of traditions throughout history which are repulsive and wholly unacceptable today .. it takes a really special person to find them amusing and then relate them to his Family .. its vile!
I have a pretty black sense of humour myself but this isn't funny, its just sickening.

Its not wrong for you to have a unique view of the world and for you to control your family in its own unique sub-culture,
but,
I would recommend you realize that your world is NOT necessarily how the rest of the world runs its life, perceives things and makes judgments.

Did you know that for centuries it was not uncommon for Chinese newlyweds to be taken to their room by the wedding party where one matron from the village would be sent to watch them inside their bedroom,
and,
afterward confirm the marriage was 'consumed' by waving a blood-spotted sheet to the crowd from the window.
That was proper.

Did you know that in this modern day there are Muslim cultures that STILL practice something like this with an eye-witness and even the modern version of actual video being used to confirm the virginity and then consummation!
Today. In 2010 this actually goes on.

But it may be true that if your husband said such a thing in a joking manner it would be awkward, not match your family humour, delivered poorly. It simply would come across wrong.
You would disrespect him more,
but,
The truth is that Dave (and im no Dave fan) but he does have the sense of humour to say such things and it will be taken well by his family,
and,
inside the humour it is communicating what is a healthy sexuality inside his culture - the idea that sex is something saved for newlyweds at which time it becomes honourable and not something to be ashamed of.

That's a great summary of the situation, props to you for not letting your feelings get in the way of common sense or truth.

... WHAT??
Are you insane? .... Your Post is laughable .. not to mention highly insulting.
You seem to feel that you know me (as a dictator presumably lol) and then have the audacity to accuse me of being an ill educated, single-minded buffoon with little or no knowledge or interest in other civilisations or societies!!
Let me let you into a little secret .. (unrevealed in the first post) if my Husband said anything resembling Daves statement, I would have castrated him along with losing my respect for him!.. That should more than bolster your theory that I imagine I am in charge of the Universe!!
Please do NOT presume to Psycho Analyse me again, not unless we ever meet and you have had the opportunity to have formed a founded opinion!

I find your culture absolutely disgusting and perverse in the worst most degrading sort of way, involves you thrilling in mutilating peoples bodies and demeaning them sexually,
but,
at the end of the day this sexual thrill you get from violence and humiliation comes back to your own self-hatred.
That or your husband should come to his senses, slap you into the floor, pack his bags and go find a real woman who doesn't need this kind of sicko stuff.

Just a suggestion.

The fact that it was a joke does not make it any the less disrespectful.
Heaven only knows what her peers will make of it and what they will say to her.
