Default All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace

Did anyone else see this? It was a documentary, by Adam Curtis, shown in three parts on BBC2.

It explained how the ideologies that shape our world came to be, or rather became the main ones supported and accepted by people.

There was loads of strange subjects and people brought up.

The last part went into detail about the Congo (and Rwanda). There are mines there in the Congo that produce an element that is used in playstations and other type electronics.

So because of the demand for them, the value of the mines increased. This lead to a vicious war in the country.

And the theme through out all three parts was how computers are perceived as some kinda saviour us.

Sounded interesting, I agree that computers are like saviours, have reduced so much work effort for people (which has is disadvantages.. people getting lazy, but on a whole very good!)
