Miley Cyrus - On Melancholy Hill

Miley Cyrus has covered the Gorillaz track, 'Melancholy Hill', on her latest tour.
The re-imagining of the track, written by Damon Albarn and featured on the album 'Plastic Beach', was a 'gift' to Cyrus' back-up dancers, on the announcement of their anniversary.
'Melancholy Hill' isn't the first time the Hannah Montana actress has put her own stamp on a revered song, with Nirvana, Poison and Fleetwood Mac all being 'honoured' by the singer.
Miley, real name Destiny Hope, has sung 'Landslide', 'Every Rose Has it's Thorn' and 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.
Reaction from the internet community has been fierce with bloggers and commentators going for the jugular. Buzzfeed said 'This happened because you let it happen, America', while YouTuber's offered articulate opinions such as "the most worst thing i ever hear [sic]".
Damon Albarn has yet to comment on the cover, but one can suspect he is 'over the moon'.
