Is it by just accepting that the bumbling nerd persona is 100% constructed and designed to fool others into believing he is something that he obviously isn't?
Or do you actually believe he is this Hugh Grant type of nervous gent he pretends to be? Not a flame, genuinly interested in how people rationalise the Aaron that he is pretending to be with the real one that obviously lies underneath.

I don't think he is pretending to be anything, and there was also nothing on his VT to prove that he was anything different to the way he's been in the house since day 1.

Except the people that are living with him seem to think differently.
Cover blown tbh. I guess by your answer you fall more into the "Or do you actually believe he is this Hugh Grant type of nervous gent he pretends to be?" category.

I would not be suprised if it is not a replay of Jen and Dale. Where Jen was said to be separated from her husband, she made the money and took it back to him. |

Get it? Got it? Good!

Everyone over exaggerates their personality in their VT, they are trying to get in the house... So I don't think anyones auditions should be held against them...

I reconcile by the fact he told us in his launch night VT that he's bit of a game player and he mentioned this in week 1 - hence his boos when he entered the house. Aaron's always been careful in what he says. On about day 9 Faye (who I suspect fancied him back then) question him about dating and he did say he has no problem getting women, he just doesn't do one night stands.
Cleverly he's not gone on and on about his game playing to the viewers so the game player tag went to Anton. If Aaron's caught game playing more obviously we can't say 'Oh look the mask has slipped' as he told us he wasn't going to be 100% truthful in first place. Good game play from him. I think maybe you have misundertood...In order for his gameplay to work (which is to persuade the viewers into voting to save him)it is imperative that he deceives you into liking him, otherwise it hasn't worked...A vast tract of the public are voting to save him,not because they think he is playing a 'clever' game, but because ultimately,he has fooled them into believing that.

I believe he is playing an excellent game, and he is mixing it up and making a good show....i have said it before and I will say it again. Im sick of FENCE SITTERS winning BB simply by going in and being nice to everyone, then coming out and never seeing any of their fellow HMs ever again....

In the same way we reconcile other housemates' VTs. The rest are not exactly like their VTs. I think the VTs should be disregarded at all times because they don't reflect the truth.

I agree with Crocs sentiments. The VT's don't serve a purpose other than a means to an end. It is a selling point, and like any advertisement, it doesn't always do what it says on the packet!

I love easy questions me
![]() Answer: The exact same way we reconcile all other audition tapes which are just made to set them apart from the other 1000s of entries. What we see in the BB House is the REAL person because there's no way they can keep up a false persona for any great length of time ![]() |

The fact that Aaron has obviously adopted the bumbling Hugh Grant nervous gent persona to go into that house with, the one so at odds with the man who auditioned and the man who plays the house and public with such confidence, is obviously being furiously rationalised by his supporters here, but the fact remains the man we are seeing is obviously not the man that exists in the real world. But then he has tried to get in 4 times and studied this game, so I guess he knows which personality type the public will best respond to.

1. People think he's arrogant when they first meet him? Tick. 2. Doesn't really want to get involved with people until he's had a chance to judge them and think it's worth talking to them? Tick. 3. Never had a problem getting a girlfriend? Tick. 4. Wants to always get his way, believes he has the best ideas 9 times out 10, right 10 times out of 10? Tick. 5. Hundreds of things that could upset him in the house? Tick. 6. Have a big impact in the house? Tick. 7. Some people will like him, some won't, majority will love him? (assuming he meant outside of the house) Tick. 8. Not there to be a piece of wallpaper in the background? Tick. Even if he came across more confident, everything he said was spot on. I am asking how you reconcile the confident alpha (because alphas are not always muscle bound bufoons in society, in fact they mostly aren't) in those tapes with the bumbling Hugh Grant gent he has pretended.

Its a bit like a job interview. You do your best to get the job, even if this means acting a bit more like how you think they want you to act, than yourself. Last edited by Vicky.; 24-10-2011 at 12:14 PM. |

No, Aaron was very very confident on his VT and no way near as geeky or camp as he's in the house. It's the same with his launch night intro. He didn't seem camp or geeky in that and i was shocked at how camp he was when he entered the house.
For the first 2-5 days Aaron went into the DR and told us about his 'game' but he gave up after that when he went for love action with Faye |
