because when they were chanting it he kept looking at her

In the diary room he didn't admit to hearing it. What he said was: "Grace thinks she heard her name". He might not be sure of what he heard, in which case he isn't lying to her when he says he didn't hear it.

Hmm...

I think he was trying to cheer her up, cause he said he hates seeing her upset.
But if i was her, i'd rather him just telling the truth.

I feel sorry for Grace not only because of the chants but because Mikey is convincing her that they didnt happen, when she is up for nomination and she hears boos / chants shes going to have the fright of her life, again!

I think Mikey actually did what most guys would do...and that was telling her what she wanted to hear lol. He knows they were saying get her out but wanted to comfort her. Mikey seems a decent enough character to me, pity he is around Grace so much.
