Millionaire Dan Shak is suing his ex-wife over her large shoe collection.

52-year-old Shak claimed that he did not know that the luxurious walk-in-wardrobe existed in the master bedroom that they shared before their split in 2009.

He said that she hid her collection in "a secret room" while they lived in a £4.7 million ($7.3 million) apartment in New York.

Dan also stated that Beth Shak concealed the £640,000 ($1 million) collection from him throughout their marriage and failed to mention it during the divorce proceedings.

He is now fighting to own 35% of the collection, which Beth is determined to battle. She said: "I'm going to vehemently defend myself."

The chunk that Dan is hoping to get his hands on would cost the mother of three around £225,000 ($351,000), in addition to designer handbags worth thousands.

Beth now lives in a luxury home near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with children Lindy, 17, and Austin, 15, and is dating a police officer. She is thought to be a multi-millionaire after the end of her marriage.
