I don't have a problem with it. And it's not just targeting fat people, in shape people that weigh more also have to pay more. I think it's fair, the more you weigh, the more fuel the plane has to burn.
I do think they should give bigger people bigger seats with more leg room though. They should have a special section of the plane for taller and/or wider people. Since they are paying more they should also get seats that they actually fit in.
