If you were offered half the prize money at this stage of the game would you take it? I'm not sure if I would really but I'm kinda swaying to the fact that I may think to hell with it and sod off with it, these days its a dog eat dog world and £50 grand is a lot of money. What about you? Apologies if there has already been a thread about this.

I would take it, yeah. I would have endured enough weeks in there, so why not.

I'd pay 50 k to leave the twins inside once the winner is out.

Why would you even think about not taking it?

Yeah but I'd be worried that it was a lie and I'd just leave without the money :'(

So it's not about the honour and fame of winning Big Brother but rather trying to win some or all of the prize money.
So now it really is just another reality TV gameshow and the money is the real prize not actually winning the show.....????? |

Unless you were 100% sure of winning, which you couldn't be,considering Gina's fall from grace in a few weeks, you'd have to take it! (Obviously, getting it written down in a legal document first!?!)
Otherwise you risk being an also-ran with a 10min interview on Monday, and then into oblivion. No offense Nedusa, but it's a while since anyone went into BB for the pride of winning.imo! The thing that motivates most HM's is the prize money,or the perceived money making activities afterwards!?! I'd love to go in for the experience, but I'd be too "boring" for the general public?? Just tooooooo nice!!! ![]() |

At this stage in the game, you'd be an idiot not to, unless you have an established high earning career. If it was in the first week and you'd wanted to be in Bog Brother for years then giving it up for money might be stupid... but with less than a week to go? You've already had the "full experience", taking the money on top of it is a no brainer
Even if you're a gambler. You've got 50k in your hand and you're up against 5 other people with no REAL way of knowing what the public is thinking, so you have to consider your chances of winning to be 6/1... but gambling 50k for a chance to win 100k is only even money. Taking even money on a 6/1 shot is absolutely insane. Personally I'm NOT a gambler anyway, so I wouldn't even risk it up against one other person. I'd take the money and go. I've got a family and still have nearly £15000 of student debt 5 years after leaving University... just getting rid of that debt would make a difference to our monthly income. Wiping that out and having £35k on top of that... yes please! Especially as A) people don't make a fortune off of Big Brother now anyway and B) 5 days from the end, there's nothing to be gained in that sense from staying longer anyway. You'll still get the extra bit of money available from the little scraps of media stuff. I've always said I'd walk away from Deal Or No Deal after a couple of rounds if the offer started to push much past £10,000... even if I had loads of red boxes left ![]() Last edited by user104658; 14-08-2013 at 04:00 PM. |
