I think it was shrewd of her to reveal her narcotics issues before entering. It's good to reveal and display negative things early on so people will accept your flaws and won't feel cheated or dissapointed when later find out truth and stArt saying "true colours " or " mask has slipped".

Literally MILLIONS of people in the UK use drugs on a regular basis! It's really not something that anyone should judge someone because of. Complete reformation of the UK Drug Laws are long overdue!
It's legal things (alcohol, tobacco, sugar etc, etc.) that are responsible for causing far more health problems and deaths.

I think Charlie was very careful to hang all her dirty washing out prior to going into the house. This would then eliminate anyone trying to sell a cheap story about her on the outside. So a lot of the skeletons came out of the cupboard prior to entry. Same with her health problems.

Have any of the other housemates had health problems does anyone know? (I don't mean like Sam's deafness etc...) It occurred to me as I was writing the above that it's not very usual to nominate a health problem as a reason to go into the house...(Now I'm confused - stuff to do with Charlie is a bit confusing - maybe that's why she's so confused...)
