I think the free pass to the final has spoilt things but....


I also think it would have been a really good idea if the house mates didnt know which one of them had it.


It would have been interesting on eviction nights.....


I wonder how long it would have taken them to work it out.....

That wouldn't be possible though, not telling them who had it, what if they nominated that person every week (like a lot would have done with Helen this year) how would the producers get around something like that?

Yes it would have but they would have had to block sound into the house on eviction nights....

Although on thinking about it i doubt C5 would have done that as they seem to love all the booing and jeering ....

That wouldn't work. They'd be nominated as Josy said.

It'd be even more difficult with the way this series has worked too, with single housemates being given the chance to nominate/save people. It just would not make any sense.

I would only join BBUK to get to know myself more and get some life lessons. If i cant go up on the block and see reaction for what i have done, is it really worth to waste my 10 weeks.

The pass isn't Helens fault, its a BB designed thing. She doesent need it anyway as she is the show and without her the show would be dead. Sometimes the GBP needs to be educated and getting rid of her would prove to be fatal so the prods have ensured her existence for our entertainment. Watching People like Chris and Ashleigh is like watching paint dry.

The free pass has definitely been a damper on this year's series. Helen was not a good choice as the house revolves around her and her moods. But on the other hand, I guess it had to be tried at least once as an experiment. So now BB will hopefully have learnt their lesson : That a pass to the final is not a good thing.

I think the free pass was invented for Helen

BB Producers knew that she would be hated before she even opened her mouth, due to her past and Im sure after meeting her and seeing that she wasnt a shrinking violet, they probably thought she would be up and go within the first two weeks

Im sure Pauline must have been told to give it to her, its the only way the producers could guarantee keeping the best housemate to the bitter end!!

My own thoughts are that Pauline chose Helen because she was the only other mother in there.

I just think it was a mistake by BB from the start, I don't mind a free pass say 2 weeks away from a final but it was daft to have it from the start.

Hopefully this will not be repeated in the future, however I am glad they have left it in place and not given in to calls to revoke it.
