I don't understand why they paid so much for her because she is so outspoken only to give her a task to be nice lol.

The being nice task is obviously because they don't want her getting nominated and evicted when they've paid so much for her, they did a similar thing with John in UBB - give him the task of being nice so they could keep in the show but it didn't work.
