Well its official or according to Comic Relief research Bristolians smile more than anyone else in the country.

It seems they went round the shopping centres smiling and people and in Bristol they got 70 people smiling back in an hour. In Edinburgh it was 4 and in London 17.

Well I always knew we were a friendly lot

To be honest though I think we smile because we are all either blind as a bat or short sighted and assume that if someone smiles at you, then you know them just cant put a name to a face - so you smile back.

Or it could be that we are just the friendliest, nicest people in the country!!!
