Having just caught up with the last couple of highlights shows I have come to the conclusion that most of the original housemates are actually awful.

There is no other way I could describe them and I can't imagine how dull the highlights would be to sit through without the newbies (apart from Harry that is, I don't like this girl AT ALL)

Especially...

Joel - Turned into a moaning, miserable, boring, lecturing old man, this kid acts about 85 ffs just shut up.

Jack - Pretty much the same as Joel but add in anger issues

Actually surprisingly enough the only original housemates I like are Cristian and Jade, which is a huge turnaround from a week or so ago.

So yeah, thank **** for the twist and the newbies IMO.

For me Marc, Sam and Simon have added energy to this series had they not entered the house would be bnoring nice and pointless

Yeah I'm slowly starting to dislike each and every one of them. Joel is going downhill rapidly for me at the moment I didn't like him at all in tonight's highlights I still like him but if carries on acting the way he is then he definitely won't be in my sig for much longer.

Jade is the only I like anymore out of the old housemates really. The rest are either floaters or loathable.

Marc and Sam are Simon I'll give it him I really dislike the guy but he's brought drama. Harry is awful however.

I agree with you. I have loved Cristian from the start and Jade has grown on me but Nick, who was one of my favourites at the start, what is he doing!.
As for Jack, Danny and Chloe I have really grown to dislike them. They are the biggest gameplayers in there. They have totally changed their characters and not in a nice way.

I agree Josy,for a bunch of young ones ,they are so bloody miserable,it's only Marc it seems that is bringing any fun in there,I still cant warm to Jade,but I like Christian so far,he is the only oldie I like now,Nick is boring now he has Harry,Joel is like a pensioner,jack is just a whinger,thank God for some of the newbies.

I've always hated Jack. He's a disgusting horrible human being who has had a massive over inflation of ego because he thinks he's a winner.

I still prefer the originals, although I can't stand Jack and Joel, but I find Danny boring and think that Christian needs to show more personality.

The newbies are annoying, but have offered some entertainment value and stirred it up.

Joel is 19 going on 90....what does this guy do to have some fun??
He is desperately trying to get a career out of this...all this stupid interviewing stuff...he uses it as a stage to take the high moral ground. His face says it all...he thinks he is so much better than anyone else. He is a pompous arrogant little upstart and I really can't stand him.

I agree Josy, the original cast were truly awful. We may not like some of the things that the newbies do, but at least they provide talking points. I do feel there is drama for dramas sake sometimes and that all the house mates are just too camera aware. What I don't understand though is why these newbies weren't in the original cast.

I started off quite liking Sam and Harry and strongly disliking Marc and Simon. NOW I don't like ANY OF THE NEW HOUSEMATES. Marc is disgusting, Simon is a drama queen and two faced, Sam is throwing herself at Marc and making a fool of herself plus her behaviour just after Eileens eviction was self obsessed and Harrys voice is grating on me. Of the originals I only truly like Jade. The rest are completely dispensable

Joel seems a 90 year old stuck in the body of a teen, wioth the face of a 12 year old. Odd mixture

Cristian I still like, BUT hes either doing not much or being edited out...

Danny is, and always has been wallpaper. Every now and again he will have a 'I am alpha' type moment, but even that fails

I really still like Joel and Cristian of the originals,I have warmed to Jade too this last few days.
Nick,I am still slowly getting sick of his 'connection' to Harry sadly.

I find Marc funny but really hate his conversations and comments as to the women in there,It is sometimes really unpleasant at best
Simon and Sam,I don't like at all and Harry just gets on my nerves.

I do think the series needed Marc however.

I wouldn't call them awful, I certainly like most of them as individuals, but as a collective cast they're pretty dull and in hindsight it's a good thing the twist happened because the newbies have injected some life into the series.

However, I'm still pissed off about the way it was executed because we could've had the four newbies and just lost one housemate instead, cause three of the four we lost were actually the best housemates of the original cast.
