Default how long does it actually take to cook a chicken anyhoo??

i normally put mine in for about n hour or so, and prod it with a fork to check the juices.

That was so childish of Daniella to make that "Ooh, there's blood coming out of it" remark in front of Shilpa. If i was Shilpa, i'd have shoved the ******in half cooked bird in her face and said "How does that taste you stuck up little tart"

30mins per lb plus 30. And when you take the chicken out frm oven. You let it to rest for another 10 -20mins -and it will cook even further - so no chance of salmonella - for crying out loud!! 2 hours for that chicken ??? What is weight of chicken anyway?? If Danielle wants to cook then she should know that the potatoes should be in at same time with chick to get it nice and crispy at Gas Mark 6. What a girl danielle is !!! Friendly, good hostess, cook, kind hearted, COMPASSIONATE - just what a WAG should be!!

Apologies, it is 20mins - per lb. I must get back to doing more roast chickens!!! But i do know that when meat taken out frm oven, they do continue cooking for a short while. Anyway, pettiness in the argument. They dont like Shilpa - end of story. Shilpa is bossy - in a way - i think when it comes to food , cooking - Asian women knows best - the kitchen is their territory in some ways. Leave Shilpa alone - be nice !!!

I totally agree. When her potatoes comes out a bit too mush, she say its going to be fine. But i bet if Shilpa were to make them, she would differ. I really really want to take Danielle and give her a good hiding. I hope Teddy or Ted knows how lucky he is to have a gorgeous looking girl with impeccable . elegant manners and so full of compassion and kindness - she would really enhance his life..... (Just dont give her too much to drink!)
