What do you mean you're not posting in serious debates anymore? Take a break... and when you return to SD, if people get personal and insulting, report them! Honestly Kirk, we need a mixture of opinions in there otherwise it'll be a small group of people all agreeing with each other and posting applause emoticons.

I guess Kirk got reported yesterday as he got incredibly personal to one of the younger members of the forum I love you Kirk but this type of thread is pretty cringey imo

I have no idea whether he was or not Ammi, Livia was intimating that Kirk is some innocent who is battered verbally on a personal level in serious debates which is not the case, at any rate if a mod has a problem with my post Im sure I will hear about it :

Maybe he does maybe he doesn't... but the thing is, I can see why Kirk is sick of Serious Debates. And the very fact that you're willing to search and produce a pie chart kind of embroiders my point. I know that Kirk gets quite heated sometimes because he's passionate about stuff, and that's often met with a hail of ridicule and a bit of tag-teaming... and more than once swearing and personal comments. Now I know that's not going to be a popular thing to say, but it happens and I can see why he wants to knock serious debates on the head. it is no place for a grown up discussion.
