Well it looks like the PS3 is finally coming but at the staggering price of £425.

With the Wii and Xbox 360 both being launched over six months ago and also retailing at around £150 cheaper do you think Sony has much chance of gaining a decent market share.

I think were asking for 400 something and i dont agree with it ive only presold 1 and the Wii is only 179 pounds so people might wait until its gone down

I'm waiting until GTA4 come out, to be honest, and seeing how much it will cost me to bundle the two of them. I hope it'll be under £500. But then again GTA4 will probably come out on all consoles eventually so there's no incentive to buy a PS3

I personally think Sony have dropped the ball big time with the delays in releasing the PS3. The Wii and 360 easily have the jump on them and Sony will struggle to keep up. I particularly applaud Nintendo for trying something different and I think Sony can no longer rely on a few big name games to make money, they’ve got to start to think about the gaming industry with more long term vision.

Pre-order the PS3, pay your deposit and wait for confirmation. when confirmation comes stick the pre-ordered PS3 on e-bay and wait for the bids to come rolling in. You should make 150-200 quid profit.

It's by far the most advanced of the 7th generation consoles.

You guys are right in what you're saying. It's got a Blutooth controller that it's copied from the Wii and all the delays have been to make sure it's the most advanced of the consoles.

I think th PS2 was about 250-300 when it came out. I definitely remember paying about that for one way back then.

Unless you want the Blue Ray play back then what is the point.

There are more games already at cheaper prices for the Xbox 360 and its price of the machine will fall quicker than the PS3. What is the betting that Microsoft knock another £20-25 pounds from the price as soon as the PS3 comes out.

Technically there is not much difference between the two machines other than the disc drive. Okay they have different processors and graphics chips but essentially they are the same generation machine with the same sort of graphics. And given the Xbox 360 has be around longer the programmers of the games will be producing tighter and more efficient code for the Xbox which leads to better games with better graphics.

I would say go buy a Xbox 360 and miss the PS3 bandwagon until the price drops in a years time.

Sony look like they have really messed up this time.
