Of course not, one idiot is not indicative of an entire cause. The bigger issue here is the media's attempt to smear what is a meaningful cause by focusing on fringe members and stupid individuals and saying 'this is what Black Lives Matter is.'

It'd be like me pointing at people like Richard Spencer or David Duke and saying 'These people are Nazis! All Right Wingers are Nazis because I've decided to focus on these two people in particular and judge everyone by their standards!' It's dumb, not all Right Wing people are bigoted and it'd be wrong to throw them all in with the Alt-Right Nazis just because of a passing association.
